Over the last couple of years, Bank of Nanjing has evolved significantly from a city commercial bank present only in Nanjing city into a regional bank with a broad network in many economically affluent cities of the Yangtze River Delta, in Beijing and in Shanghai (globally 74 branches). Bank of Nanjing has also made a few strategic investments in 4 affiliated banks and in 1 financial leasing company.

Bank of Nanjing is first and foremost a bank that provides full range banking services to meet the needs of Chinese and international medium-sized enterprises and SMEs (altogether over 100,000 corporate clients). BoN is among the 14 listed banks out of over 1,000 domestic banks nationwide (IPO in 2007), ensuring information transparency and appropriate governance. The long-term Chinese credit rating for Bank of Nanjing is AA for 2009 based on its risk control strengths, sound CAR (14% at end of 2009) and sustainable growth.

 Strong partnership with BNP Paribas: 

In 2005, Bank of Nanjing welcomed BNP Paribas as its strategic partner and 2nd largest shareholder. Since then, the partnership has grown and expanded, providing technical support to our bank in numerous areas (risk management, control and finance, governance, process optimization, human resource and trainings, etc.). Building on our strong complementarities, we have also developed various business cooperation aimed to serve better both banks’ clienteles (for example, development of a personal loan and credit card department, international corporate client department, as well as trade finance, loan syndication, etc.).
