(1)On January 1, the Company began to practice a new branch management model-----headquarters, central branch and branch.

(2)On March 3, the company signed the Business Cooperation Agreement with Hana Bank in Nanjing International Conference Hotel, marking the initiation of the cooperation between the Company and foreign banks.

(3)On June 10, the Company signed the Listing Tutoring Agreement with CITIC Securities Co., Ltd. in Jingling Hotel, and thereafter entered the preparatory stage for getting the Company listed, becoming the first city commercial bank to enter the preparatory stage for listing.

(4)Between August 26 and 28, the company organized the Working Conference of Chinese City Commercial Bank and the Fourth meeting of the Development Forum of Chinese City Commercial Bank. Over 500 people, including CSRC Chairman, Liu MingKang, CBRC Vice Chairman, Tang Shuangning, the leaders from CBRC office and Banking Supervision Department 2, major leaders from the CBRC Bureaus in different cities, chairmen and president from 112 city commercial banks, attended the meeting. The meeting is a great success, dramatically increased our prestige and influence among the city commercial banks.

(5)On August 28, the Company successfully issued Plum Credit Card, becoming the first city commercial bank to issue credit card through the system of Chinaunionpay Co. Ltd.

(6)For its outstanding performance in the market, the Company became the only bank which won five titles in the inter-bank bond market for 2003, including the Excellent Bond Trading and Settlement Unit and Excellent Settlement Agent.
